The Audience

Every week, I shave my legs in the bathtub, the bubble bath barely covering my nipples. I arch my glistening leg and let the razor nip at the thin hairs blossoming under my skin. I step out of the bathtub in a white towel, holding onto it as it almost slips off. Standing by the open door, a shadow of my ex-boyfriend Jacob whistles. He makes an hourglass figure with his hands.

I put on my favorite black bra and panties in front of the mirror in my bedroom. What to wear, I ask myself as I sort through the crop tops in multiple colors, bodysuits with waist cutouts, sleeveless tops cut in the center and sheer lace open back camisoles. On my bed, there’s Ronald from marketing, licking his lips while I dress. He pats my navy blue comforter, there are no limits, girl.
